Privacy Policy

🔒 Short version: Your uploaded files are never stored on our servers. We only collect your email address to send your access code. Payments are handled entirely by Razorpay.
PPTConversion ("we", "us", "our") operates pptconversion.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using our service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Email address — collected at payment to send your access code and order confirmation.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Razorpay. We never see, store, or process your card, UPI, or banking details.
Information collected automatically
- IP address — used for rate limiting (preventing abuse) and stored temporarily in server logs.
- Server logs — standard HTTP logs including timestamp, request path, and response code. Retained for up to 30 days.
- Access code usage — we store your access code, associated email, credit count, and expiry date in our database to validate future uses.
What we do NOT collect
- The content of your uploaded files — files are processed in-memory and not written to disk or retained
- Cookies or tracking pixels
- Device fingerprints or browser identifiers
- Your name, phone number, or address
2. How We Use Your Information
- To send your access code and payment confirmation to your email address
- To validate your access code on future visits
- To prevent abuse via rate limiting
- To diagnose technical issues via error logs
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, or profiling. We do not sell your data to any third party.
3. Uploaded Files & AI Processing
When you upload a file for conversion, the content is sent to an AI service for analysis. This processing is done in-memory on a per-request basis:
- Files are not stored on our servers before or after processing
- File content is transmitted securely over HTTPS to the AI service
- The AI service processes your content to generate presentation code only
- No file content is retained by the AI service after the request completes
- The resulting PPTX is built in your browser and downloaded directly to your device — it never passes through our servers
Do not upload files containing highly sensitive personal data (e.g. government IDs, passwords, financial account numbers) as file content is transmitted to third-party AI processing.
4. Payment Processing
All payments are processed by Razorpay (razorpay.com), a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. When you pay:
- Your payment details are entered directly into Razorpay's secure checkout
- We receive only a payment confirmation and order ID — not your card or banking details
- Razorpay's privacy policy applies to data you provide during checkout
We store the Razorpay payment ID in our database as a transaction reference to prevent duplicate credit issuance.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your email address and access code are stored in a MySQL database hosted on Hostinger servers in the EU. We implement the following security measures:
- All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Payment signature verification using HMAC-SHA256
- Database access restricted to server-side PHP only
- Access codes use cryptographically random generation
- Unique payment ID constraint prevents duplicate credit issuance
Access code records are retained for 60 days after expiry, then may be purged. Email addresses are retained as long as associated credits exist.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you (email and access code record)
- Request deletion of your email address and access code record
- Correct inaccurate personal data
To exercise any of these rights, email support@pptconversion.com with your request. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Children's Privacy
PPTConversion is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
